The force was strong in Stettler as the community gathered to enjoy a drive-in movie presented by the Stettler Town and Country Museum and Kal Tire.

It was held on May 4, and it was only fitting for this vintage-styled event to play the classic Star Wars: A New Hope!

The drive-in was set up at the Stettler Sports Park, and attendees could enjoy games along with some Star Wars themed concession treats, which included BBQ hotdogs, slushes, popcorn and cotton candy.

Some attendees even came out dressed for the occasion, lightsabers and all ! The drive-in was a fundraiser for the Stettler Museum.

Stettler hasn’t had a drive-in movie theatre in quite some time. The old Stettler Drive-in was situated approximately where Walmart is now.
