Preparations are coming together for this year’s edition of the Stettler Festival of Lights.

During their first meeting of September, Town Council heard details for the upcoming hospital fundraiser.

The 27th annual Festival of Lights will be held November 26-30 at the Stettler Community Hall.

The goal is to raise $100,000 to help purchase overhead lifts for patients in the acute & long term care areas of the hospital.

Throughout the event, folks can stroll through the decorated trees, and bid on silent auction items. Sponsorship forms are also available for individuals & local businesses to donate.

Stettler’s Festival of Lights has raised nearly 1.5 million dollars over the past 26 years.

That’s helped the Stettler Health Services Foundation to purchase a number of pieces of equipment over the years. These include palliative care & birthing beds, dialysis unit chairs, heart monitors, and an infant incubator to name a few.

After hearing about this year’s fundraising efforts, council passed a motion to purchase a table of eight for the event.
