Residents of the Village of White Sands cast their votes on October 12 in a highly anticipated election, with four candidates competing for two open council seats.
The official results, posted on October 18, revealed Dan Zembal as the top vote-getter with 147 votes. Paul Ashford claimed the second seat in a close race, edging out Steven Keith Lockhart by just one vote, 85 to 84.
Donna Marquardt received 54 votes.
