On a frosty Friday evening, spectators gathered at the Main Street Christmas tree to view the lighting of the Main Street Tree. This happens in Stettler every year during Moonlight Madness, which landed on November 29th.
This year, there was a large crowd, which was impressive considering the cold temperature. Mayor Sean Nolls, with help from the male, female, and youth citizen of the year, counted down from 10 to kick off the Christmas season in Stettler.
After the tree was lit up, Santa visited the crowd. Many local shops remained open late as the crowd dispersed and started their Moonlight Madness shopping.
