The Stettler Regional Board of Trade presented their 2025 Budget during December’s first town council meeting.

Executive Director Byron Geddes spoke about the “cautiously optimistic” sentiment they’ve been hearing from business owners in 2024.

The B.O.T is responsible for organizing a number of local events such as the Big Jack Classic, the Trade Show, the bi-annual job fairs & The Nite Before.

They also help organize the annual awards gala and administer the Heart of Alberta Dollar programs.

The board has seen a 10 percent increase in the usage of Heart of AB Dollars in 2024, which encourages people to shop locally to help support Stettler businesses.

They’ve also seen more tourism visits to their office through Destination Stettler, as well as souvenir sales thanks to Stettleropoly’s release this year.

Following the presentation, council voted to include the board’s budget as part of the Town of Stettler’s upcoming 2025 Operating Budget.
