Stettler County Council has appointed a returning officer to oversee the upcoming municipal elections in October.
Doreen Nixon has agreed to the role once again, to ensure all voting procedures are being followed.
Those interested in running for a four year term on County Council can submit their nomination packages as of the beginning of January.
Candidates must submit a criminal record check, a $100 deposit, and a completed form signed by at least five residents who are eligible to vote in the upcoming election.

The deadline for nominations is at noon on Monday, September 22, ahead of the vote on Monday, October 20, 2025.
