Proposed location for new daycare facility at 4818 62 St. (Formerly Jensen’s Interiors)

Approval has been given to a location for a new daycare facility in Stettler following a public hearing on February 4.

Stettler Town Council approved second & third readings on a zoning change to allow daycare facilities as a discretionary use under commercial highway district zoning.

The applicant (Alphabet Daycare Inc.) is looking to convert the southern half of the building at 4818 62 St. into a daycare with a fenced outdoor play area within the parking lot.

Administration reported no written opposition to the project during the public hearing, after first reading was given by council on January 7, 2025.
