Stettler County Council has approved a motion to award $500 to the Stettler & District Music Festival. The motion was made during the County’s regular meeting on Feb 12, under the Community Investment Program.

Due to the recent Canada Post strike, the festival’s application missed the 2024 grant deadline. As such, the $500 will come from the $15,000 fund in the 2025 Community Investment Program.

The Stettler & District Music Festival started in 1968, and is celebrating 57 years in 2025. The volunteer-run festival has seen many choir & vocal participants move on to compete in provincial performances.

This year’s festival will be held April 11-24, with a date for the grand concert to still be announced.
