Stettler Town council has awarded a paving tender to TJ Paving Ltd. for rehabilitation work in several areas of the community.
The decision was made during the May 20 council meeting. The contract includes upgrades to 47th Avenue, from 46th to 49th Streets near the P&H elevator, with the addition of curbs and sidewalks.

The tender was awarded at a cost of $492,849.51, to be drawn from the $500,000 allocated in the town’s 2025 capital budget.
Due to favourable pricing, administration also recommended adding several pavement patching areas to the program, supported by an additional $150,000 already budgeted.
Areas identified for patching include 47th Avenue near the golf course, as well as two sections in the East Industrial Subdivision. A few additional spots around town may also be repaired if funds remain in the budget.

Council approved the recommendation, with TJ Paving Ltd. also contracted for the patching work at a cost of $149,342.96, excluding GST.

Tagish Engineering was also contracted for $48,126.00 to conduct engineering work on the project.
