Officials from the Town and County of Stettler gathered at Willow Creek Senior Living on March 27 to proclaim June 2–8 as Seniors Week.

Each year, councillors from both municipalities mark the occasion by visiting long-term care facilities and delivering fruit trays to residents.

This year’s schedule begins Monday, June 2, with a visit to Heart Haven Lodge from noon to 1 p.m., followed by a stop at Paragon Place during the lunch hour on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, June 4, officials will return to Willow Creek from noon to 1 p.m., with a final visit to Points West planned for Friday, June 6, over the noon hour.

Family and Community Support Services will also host a free event at the Legion Hall on June 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in celebration of Seniors Week.
