Voters in the Battle River–Crowfoot riding will have an opportunity to hear directly from federal by-election candidates during a public forum on Thursday, Aug. 7.

The event, co-hosted by the Stettler Public Library & the Stettler Regional Board of Trade, will take place at 7 p.m. at the Stettler Community Hall.

Admission is free, but attendees must reserve tickets in advance, with a limit of two tickets per person. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

The forum is limited to a maximum of 10 candidates. All confirmed candidates have been invited, and participation will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.

A livestream will also be made available for those unable to attend in person due to limited seating.

Candidates will respond to pre-submitted questions and no questions will be taken from the floor during the event.

Questions can be submitted on the Stettler Board of Trade’s website until August 4 at 12 p.m. Tickets are also available through their website.

Advance voting for the federal by-election will run from Friday, Aug. 8 to Monday, Aug. 11.

Election day is Monday, Aug. 18, 2025.
