The 2nd annual Stettler County Fair & Rodeo returns this week with a full slate of events, including livestock shows, rodeo action and community celebrations.
The festivities kick off on Tuesday with a customer appreciation market at the Stettler Agri-plex from 4 to 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, the County will host an agriculture education station from 1 to 4 p.m. ahead of the Zeke Thurston Invitational Xtreme Broncs Challenge.
Beer gardens open at 5 p.m., followed by the Calcutta at 6 p.m. The main event is at 7 p.m., with a cabaret to follow.
Thursday includes another County agriculture education station from 1 to 4 p.m., along with an all-day beef show and self-guided barn tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bench fair exhibits will be on display from noon to 4 p.m., and chore team competition gets underway at 5 p.m.
Friday starts with a free pancake breakfast from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Agri-plex. The beef show continues throughout the day, with barn tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the chore team competition at 2 p.m. Bench fair exhibits will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The evening program begins with horse hitch classes at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Stettler County Fair Rodeo at 6:30 p.m., featuring wild pony races at intermission and a cabaret to follow.
Events wrap up on Saturday with rodeo slack and a poultry show both beginning at 10 a.m. The beef show and bench fair viewing continue throughout the day, and the final rodeo gates & beer gardens open at 5 p.m.
