Tools For Schools Program

A back-to-school supply drive is underway in Stettler to help ensure local children head into the classroom this fall with everything they need.

The “Tools for School” campaign, organized by the Clearview School Division, Christ King Catholic School & Stettler Crisis Aid Society is collecting donations of backpacks, pencils, binders, markers & other classroom essentials.

Supplies can be dropped off at the Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) office at 4720–50 Street, or at the Stettler Ford, Dodge & GMC dealerships.

Organizers say financial contributions are also welcome, with funds directed to the Stettler Crisis Aid Society to purchase supplies where needed. Donations can be made by cash, cheque, or by email to crisisaidstettler@gmail.com

As part of the campaign, a community barbecue to accept donations will also be held outside the FCSS office from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Crisis Aid notes that while the program strives to match children with the items on their individual school lists, availability may limit exact supplies.

Families requiring assistance can apply by calling 403-741-9077.
