Stettler Town Council welcome the Stettler Friendship Circle to council on September 2

Members of the Stettler Friendship Circle paid a visit to town council on September 2.

Stephanie Hadley & Ed Ouellette spoke about events happening around the community in the month of September for Alberta Culture Days. 

The Stettler Town & Country Museum will host an event on September 13, featuring indigenous presentations & demonstrations on trapping & fish processing. 

Other events throughout the month include a beading workshop, art exhibition, ghost walk & a cultural food tour. 

As part of the visit, the Stettler Friendship Circle presented flags for Treaty 6, the Metis nation & Every Child Matters. 

Council passed a motion to raise a flag each Wednesday throughout September outside of the town office.

Alberta Culture Days will wrap up on September 30 with Truth & Reconciliation Day events at the Hub at the S-R-C.
