The Stettler Hospital held a ceremony on September 3 to mark the reopening of the renovated atrium.
About 30 people attended the event, which opened with remarks from town councilor Cheryl Barros.
She highlighted the contributions of local groups, including Stettler Superfluity, which has donated more than $23,000 to the hospital since 2021.

“We are very grateful and fortunate to have the support of community groups like Stettler Superfluity,” Barros said.
She also thanked the Festival of Lights committee & the Stettler Health Services Foundation, which raised funds for the atrium improvements & other hospital needs.
Planning & planting for the space was led by Karen Phibbs, who was recognized for her volunteer efforts.

Additional support comes from proceeds of the hospital gift shop, which helps cover smaller items not purchased by the foundation.
Hospital staff say the atrium is well-used, particularly by residents from Heritage House, who gather there regularly for a coffee club.
