Heartland Regional Fire is opening its doors to residents interested in learning what it takes to become a firefighter.
Two sessions are scheduled in December to give potential recruits a look at the demands & responsibilities of the role.
Organizers say the events are strictly informational, with no obligation to commit.
Both sessions will be held at the County of Stettler fire hall at 4204 38 Street, Stettler. The first is Dec. 3 at 7 p.m., with a second set for Dec. 17, also at 7 p.m.
Heartland Regional Fire operates across several municipalities, including the County of Stettler, the summer villages of Rochon Sands & White Sands, & the villages of Big Valley & Donalda.
The County of Stettler withdrew from the 2018 fire services agreement earlier this year, a move that led towards independently managed fire departments between the Town & County of Stettler.
