The Town of Stettler has awarded its 2026 community flower contract to Echoglen Gardens.
Council approved the award during its Dec. 16 meeting after requests for proposals were sent to three area greenhouses.
Community flowers are used in the Main Street raised beds, West Stettler Park & the hanging baskets & the heart-shaped flower bed.
Administration told council the RFP’s are sent out at this time of year to allow the greenhouses time to secure sufficient products.
Two submissions were received, from Howes Greenhouse & Echoglen Gardens.
Howes Greenhouse submitted a proposal of $11,050, not including delivery or GST. Echoglen Gardens submitted a proposal of $11,535.56, which includes delivery.
Administration recommended awarding the contract to Echoglen Gardens, noting the funding would come from the 2026 operating budget.
