Jo-Jo’s Country Kitchen has announced they will close at the end of the month.
The café on Main Street, which took over the former location of Brenda’s Cozy Café, said its final day of service will be Jan. 30.
Until then, Jo-Jo’s will remain open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In a statement, owner Jolene Heck said the decision was made with “mixed emotions,” citing the need to return to a more sustainable work-life balance.
Since opening, Jo-Jo’s Country Kitchen became known for its artisan bowls & freezer meals.
The café estimates it has served more than 3,000 artisan bowls to the community since opening in October 2024.
Speaking with Hometown Media Stettler, Heck wanted to express her gratitude to the community for their support.
The business also emphasized donating time & money to non-profits, providing free community meals & supporting families in need.
Customers are encouraged to stop in for lunch, use outstanding gift certificates & purchase freezer meals before the doors close.
