Town council approved amendments to its employee health & wellness policy at its Jan. 6 meeting, expanding eligibility for complimentary Stettler Recreation Centre passes.

Paid on-call firefighters for the Town of Stettler will now automatically receive a family SRC pass, aligning their benefits with those offered to other town staff.

Under the previous joint Stettler Regional Fire Department, firefighters became eligible for an SRC pass after a set amount of service time.

Council also approved a change to extend eligibility to both current & former members of town council.

The revised policy takes effect immediately.
