Family Day weekend saw over 350 anglers descend upon Buffalo Lake for the 2nd Annual Big Jack Classic! The organizers were relieved because before the event, it was unclear whether or not the conditions would be suitable for the tournament.
Over the weekend, $10,000 in cash and prizes were awarded to participants, but the biggest prize were all the smiles and great memories for everyone, with many saying it was the best derby they’d ever been to.
In only its second year, the Big Jack Classic has really made a name for itself and sets itself apart from other derbies because of some unique additions to the fishing.
This year, they welcomed back celebrity guest Lisa Roper, handed out random prizes in the Big Jack Hummer, added a spaghetti dinner event on Saturday evening, had a special beer created for the event called the “Little Nibble”, and kept a hands on approach with committee members onsite and interacting with participants.
All in all, it was a great weekend and everyone is excited to come back for the 3rd Annual Big Jack Classic on February 15 & 16, 2025!
