Town Council Approves 2025 Stettler & District FCSS Budget

A light agenda for the first meeting of February, (Feb 4) as Stettler town council met to review the 2025 budget for FCSS.

The Stettler & District Family & Community Support Services assists with information & referral services, harm reduction programs, as well as newcomer services. They also offer family counseling, senior’s outreach programs, financial literacy courses & income tax assistance to the Stettler community. 

80 percent of the FCSS’s budget is funded by the provincial government, while municipalities are responsible for the remaining twenty percent. After reviewing the $41,055 request, council approved their portion (20%) of the $205,275 FCSS budget as part of the Town of Stettler’s 2025 Operating Budget.
