Stettler Town Council met in mid-January to set out their strategic priorities for the next twelve months. Council & staff were polled on what they felt were the top priorities to focus on, and ranked them accordingly.

Top of the list is finding a location for a new walk-in clinic in Stettler. The plan reviewed by council on Feb 4 directs Mayor Sean Nolls & administration to look at possible locations for another clinic.

Infrastructure investment was the second ranked priority, to determine which roads & pathways are in the highest need of repair from the 10 year plan.

A revenue & expenses review was the next priority, as administration is in the process of conducting a total expense review, as well as researching possible new revenue streams.

Working with ATCO Electric on upcoming street light conversions around Stettler was the fourth ranked priority, which is expected to come to council later this year.

Finally, holding bi-annual joint meetings with the County of Stettler council came in at number five. The idea being to hold these meetings twice a year, instead of only when contentious issues arise.
