A discussion around how the County of Stettler should celebrate Byemoor’s centennial was on the agenda for the April 9 meeting.

The county will be sending a float to the hamlet for their parade on June 7 to mark 100 years as a community.

Council also approved a commemorative bench with a plaque for a cost of $1,500 from the rural development fund.

In the past, council has provided funding to area hamlets to mark their centennials and special events, such as the Botha Hall centennial & Red Willow’s 50th anniversary in 2024.
