The County of Stettler has awarded a $288,120 contract to Border Paving Ltd. for asphalt upgrades at two sites in 2025, with a third location set for 2026.

Council approved the agreement at its Sept. 24 meeting. Border Paving, based in Camrose, was the only company to submit a bid.

Planned work includes a 240 square meter asphalt pad behind the new Stettler County fire hall for a space to wash fire equipment.

The second project is for a 210 square metre patch that will be poured at the access point to the Interpipeline terminal station along Range Road 203.

Finally, reconstruction of Gadsby’s 2nd Street will be delayed until 2026 due to scheduling conflicts.

The work will be funded through the Local Government Fiscal Framework capital grant. County staff noted they had $402,007 remaining in their LGFF capital fund for 2025.
