The Valley Ski Club Castor Association will receive $95,717 from the province to upgrade snowmaking equipment.

The province says the improvements at Valley Ski Club will also help improve energy efficiency, accessibility & safety at the hill near Alliance.

“Investments like this make a real difference for families in our region. The Valley Ski Club Castor Association has been a gathering place for generations, and these improvements will make it more accessible and reliable for our community.

Supporting the Valley Ski Club Castor Association means supporting families, volunteers, and our local economy.” Nate Horner, MLA for Drumheller-Stettler and Minister of Finance and President of Treasury Board

The funding is part of a $7-million investment through the Active Communities Initiative, a provincial grant program for recreation & sport infrastructure.

Other projects include arena renewals & pickleball court upgrades in communities such as Caroline, Chestermere, Okotoks & Spruce Grove.
