The Stettler Health Services Foundation says its 2025 Festival of Lights campaign has raised just over $131,000.
The weeklong event, held in late November, will fund the purchase of an Olympus endoscopy tower & attachments for the hospital’s operating room.
Festival of Lights chair Amy Roberts credited the outcome to widespread community support.
“The support of our community is once again nothing short of astounding,” Roberts said. “Thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, the community and this year’s committee for making all of this possible every year.”
The 28th annual Festival of Lights ran Nov. 25-29 at the Stettler Community Hall & featured a silent auction & Christmas market.
The week included multiple community events & concluded with a Christmas gala, dinner & live auction.
With this year’s results included, the Festival of Lights has now generated more than $2 million for local health care initiatives over its 28-year history.

Smile Cookie Campaign Funds Geri Chairs For Stettler Hospital
The Stettler Health Services Foundation also provided an update on the impact of the 2024 Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign, which funded the purchase of three new Geri chairs for the Stettler Hospital.
The chairs are designed for patients who are unable to sit comfortably in standard chairs or wheelchairs for extended periods.
According to the foundation, the Geri chairs allow patients to remain out of bed longer, helping reduce risks associated with prolonged bed rest.
The chairs were funded at a cost of $12,743 & come equipped with trays & wheels, allowing patients to move more easily throughout the facility.
