County of Stettler Forms Independent Fire Department
The formation of two separate departments came after the Countyās withdrawal from the regional agreement in 2025 that the Stettler Regional Fire Department operated under.
The County of Stettler has since formed Heartland Regional Fire, which is in the process of applying to become a commission.
Heartland Regional Fire moved into their Stettler fire hall in mid-October, which is located on the east side of Stettler, at Highway 12 & 38th Street, next to Storm Mountain Outfitters.
