Faith leaders and community members gathered at the Stettler Recreation Centre on Thursday for the town’s inaugural Prayer Breakfast.

Hosted at “The Hub,” the March 19 event brought together various denominations from across the Stettler & Erskine area.

The morning program, organized by the Stettler Ministerial Association, featured church leaders leading the assembly in prayer for local, provincial, & national politicians.

Beyond the spiritual focus, the breakfast served as a fundraiser for the FCSS Crisis Aid program.

Representatives from FCSS provided a presentation highlighting the rising demand for the program, which offers financial assistance to low-income individuals & families struggling with essential costs, such as utility payments.

Organizers noted the event was well-attended, particularly given the short two-month planning window.

Local officials, volunteers & parishioners used the time to connect over coffee and a breakfast provided by the association.

The Stettler Ministerial Association confirmed that the prayer breakfast is now slated to be an annual event.
