Residents & businesses in the Town of Stettler will be able to purchase ornaments on the Main Street tree later this year.
At a meeting on March 17, town council approved a new initiative to allow sponsored ornaments on the community’s Main Street tree.
The program is designed to offset the annual expenses associated with the display.
The town will offer 42 ornament sponsorships annually on a first-come, first-served basis.
For the 2026 season, the sponsorship rate has been set at $350 plus GST.
The 10-inch ornaments will be available in red or green, with the town retaining discretion over color.
All text will be in white lettering, with sponsorship restricted to family or business names only.
No logos, images, or additional slogans will be permitted.
The application window for the program opens April 1 & runs through Oct. 31.
Council heard the town reserves the right to decline any content that does not meet the new criteria.
