Stettler House Fire Deemed Suspicious; No Injuries Reported

Home that caught fire on 47 Ave in Stettler around midnight on Saturday, May 2.

Authorities are investigating a “suspicious” house fire that broke out near the outskirts of Stettler late Saturday night.

Members of the Stettler Fire Department were called to the residence on 47th Avenue, next to the Homesteader’s Park, around midnight on May 2.

Fire officials confirmed the home was unoccupied at the time of the blaze.

Crews worked to bring the fire under control & ensured all hot spots were extinguished the following morning.

No injuries were reported, but investigators have flagged the cause of the fire as suspicious.

The investigation is ongoing.
