Heartland Regional Fire is holding a recruitment information night next week for residents interested in joining the department as paid on-call volunteer firefighters.
The session will take place on Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. at Station 1, at 4204 38 St. in Stettler.
Organizers say the event requires no obligation to join and is designed to give potential applicants a firsthand look at fire equipment, turnout gear, and emergency rigs.
Department members will be on hand to answer questions and explain the training and skills required for the role.
Attendees who wish to pursue the application process will have the opportunity to register for the upcoming fall recruit class, which begins at the end of September.
