Stettler Back-to-School Traffic: 50 Ave Construction & Detour Map

School is back in session this week across Alberta!

Students across Stettler are heading back to class, and local motorists are being urged to slow down and prepare for road detours.

Drivers are reminded to obey 30-kilometre-an-hour speed limits in all school and playground zones.

Commuters should also expect congestion around the high school. 

Roadwork is underway along 50th Avenue, causing detours for student drop-offs and pick-ups along 54th Street.

Drivers needing access to the high school parking lot must use the gravel lane off 54th Street.

Parents and commuters should allow for extra travel time during morning and afternoon hours and to keep a close eye out for students walking on foot.
