The Stettler Wildcats secured their first home victory since their 2022 championship season, defeating the Iron Ridge Bisons 22-8 on Thursday.

The Wildcats held off the Blackfalds-based Bisons, who were making their first-ever visit to Stettler in their second season of program history.

The matchup was a physical, flag-heavy contest, with both squads struggling to establish offensive momentum with frequent penalty interruptions.

The Wildcats now travel to Red Deer to face Hunting Hills on Oct. 9, before returning home to host Sylvan Lake on Oct. 16.
