Danny Missikewtz, owner of Home & Hobby, has announced on Facebook that the store would be closing. Even though the business and building have been for sale the last year, the news of the closure came as a shock.
The store has been Home & Hobby for the past few years, but many remember that Danny’s business has been a staple on Main Street for 24 years and a favourite shopping destination.
It started as Dan-D Variety on the north end of Main Street before moving to the current location and undergoing a rebrand to PartyMaxx. Most recently, Danny accomplished another successful business makeover that brought us Home & Hobby.
Customers knew that no matter the look or the name, you were sure to find unique items and amazing customer service. You could always count on Danny’s business for over two decades when it comes to gift buying, home decor, craft supplies or games.
Everyone is grateful for the many years of wonderful shopping Danny and his team have provided the community and many took to Facebook to express their appreciation.
