The Stettler Imperials are back on top of the ECSHL standings after beating the Wainwright Rustlers 13-3. Stettler wanted those two points to put the team back in first place, above the Oyen Eagles and Provost Combines.
Stettler scored 9 unanswered goals until Wainwright finally scored with six minutes left in the second period.
Quade Cassidy had a hat trick.

Stettler now currently sits atop the standings with the Provost Combines only one point behind with the same amount of games played.
The Oyen Eagles are two points behind the Imperials, but have two games in hand.
The Imperials stay on the road this week as more important points are on the line. The Stettler Imperials visit the Oyen Eagles on Friday night.
Stettler is back on home ice on January 25th against Sedgewick. That is their final home game of the regular season.
