Clearview Public Schools Press Release:

Recent projected enrolment changes indicate that Byemoor School’s student population will fall below 35 students for the 2026-2027 school year.

As shared during an earlier Community Engagement meeting, falling below 35 students results in a significant reduction in Alberta Education and Childcare funding for Byemoor School, estimated at approximately $260,000.

On May 14, 2026, the Board of Trustees passed a motion of notice to begin a formal review regarding the closure of Grade 7 to 9 programming at Byemoor School.

No final decision has been made.

A public meeting will be held to share information, answer questions, and receive feedback.
