Jacked Up Coffee held a fundraiser lunch on October 23 in support of Brooke Mulgrove.

A local coffee shop came together with the Stettler community on Friday to raise funds for a young woman with cystic fibrosis.

Jacked-Up Coffee hosted a fundraiser on Oct. 23 to help cover non-medical travel & living expenses for Brooke Mulgrove’s upcoming surgical journey.

“We’re having Brooke’s Day. It’s a burger & cookie fundraiser to help support Brooke who is living with cystic fibrosis,” says Krissy Jack of Jacked-Up Coffee.

Mulgrove experienced significant health complications throughout 2026, facing six separate hospitalizations that averaged two to three weeks each.

“We are good family friends, and Brooke works here so she’s an important part of this place. We just wanted to help them out to relieve some pressure from the stress of everything,” says Jack.

Family members say she is in the final stages of pre-transplant testing to be listed on the organ registry.

“2026 has taken its toll on her,” Mulgrove’s mother shared in a statement. “In the end, all we want is for Brooke to know how it feels to breathe big and mostly breathe easy.”

The procedure will require Mulgrove to relocate to Edmonton for a one-month pre-transplant program while awaiting matched donor lungs.

Jack adds people can still help out if they weren’t able to make it out for the fundraiser.

“We’re having a New Year’s Eve dance called ‘Brooke’s Night’ at the Legion with live music, and we’ll be selling tickets for that in the coming weeks.

I also wanted to thank the community for being supporters, and I’m just super appreciative of everyone and my helpers, of course.”
