Clearview Public Schools reported a modest drop in student enrollment for the 2026–27 school year during its board meeting on Oct. 29.
Figures presented to trustees show total enrollment across the division at 2,182 students.
The numbers also came in slightly below division expectations in January 2026.
As of mid-September, preliminary figures sat at 2,194 students, or 15 fewer students than projected in the division’s 2026-27 spring budget.
The updated head count marks a decline of 70 students compared to the 2,264 students enrolled during the 2025-26 school year.
Despite the downward trend across the regional division, several rural schools posted gains.
Erskine School, Big Valley School, and five of the ten colony schools saw enrollment growth this year.
Clearview officials noted that enrollment trends will be used to guide future operational planning and staffing decisions across all schools.
