A short meeting to start the year as Stettler Town Council confirmed the dates for their upcoming meetings.

On Jan 13, council will meet for the 2025 strategic planning workshop. Councilors were encouraged to bring their ideas to the session ahead of the 2025 Capital Budget deliberations on Feb 11.

The province’s MGA requires municipalities to have three year written plans of their financial operations, as well as anticipated capital expenditures for the next five years.

Stettler Town Council will also meet for committee of the whole on Jan 14, followed by regular council on Jan 21, 2025.

MPC meetings are open to the general public, aside from when the council needs to go in-camera. However, any resolutions must be brought to regular council meetings to be voted on.
