A Devon-based industrial company is seeking provincial approval to operate a mobile railcar wash across central Alberta.

Platinum Solutions Ltd. has submitted an application to Alberta Environment and Protected Areas to run mobile cleaning operations across 17 municipalities, including the County of Stettler.

The proposed mobile operations would clean and service up to 100 railcars per month at various rail sites throughout Stettler, Lacombe, Ponoka, Kneehill, Clearwater, Leduc and Strathcona counties.

Property owners directly affected by the proposed operations have 30 days to file a formal written statement of concern with the province.

Copies of the application are available through Platinum Solutions Ltd. in Devon, or online under the provincial government’s public notices portal.
