A fixture of Stettler’s downtown business community is closing its doors this month.
The Shoe Closet & Boutique announced on social media that it will officially shut down on Monday, June 15.
Store management stated the closure comes as the business’s lease expires. The owners had put the clothing and footwear shop up for sale at the end of April but were unable to find a buyer.
The boutique first opened on Main Street in 2013. Two years later, the business survived a fire that forced a temporary relocation.
The shop operated out of the current Stettler Emporium space for a year before moving back to its current location.
The store says markdown sales will continue until the mid-June closing date.
